Spring 2025 Baseball Season

Players: 

The Miracle League North Bay is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving athletes with special needs the opportunity to play baseball. However, we are so much more than baseball. Our athletes do not need any level of experience to join our league, baseball is merely a catalyst to create a lasting community. We encourage our athletes to play the game, but we also love to support them in simply socializing and creating connections with other participants on game days. We always offer a multitude of activities to ensure all of our athletes have something of interest to enjoy. Our athletes are encouraged to enjoy bubbles, coloring, dancing, group parachute, our incredible playground, as well as the game of baseball. **We ask that all players be at least 5 years of age to participant. Please reach out if you have any questions.**

Players who register prior to March 21st are guaranteed a jersey on opening day. 

We have expanded our league to include a slightly more competitive team that will play at 11:30am each game day. The season will start in our typical non-competitive game format, and we will slowly build in some typical baseball rules as the season progresses. We are envisioning this to start with making defensive plays in the field, and eventually recording those as outs. However, each player will always get as many pitches as needed to make solid contact with the ball. Our coaches are prepared to be flexible and meet our players where they are at as the season progresses. Please note this in your registration if your athlete would be interested in placed on one of the more competitive teams. 

Buddies: 

Our Buddy system pairs each player with a volunteer helper that remains with them for the duration of the game. The buddy is there to protect the player from balls, assist the player in batting and running the bases (if needed), and to be a friend on and off the field. Buddies are responsible for their individual player from the time of introduction until the player is back in the care of their parent/guardian. This means that no matter where their player goes the buddy must go. Buddies need to be energetic, committed and enthusiastic for each game. Buddies do not need to have any knowledge or skills related to baseball. We ask that all buddy-members be at least 12 years old. We ask that our buddies be available for all three games each Saturday 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Game Day Sponsors:

Throughout our season, we look for 1-2 organizations to sponsor each game day. Sponsoring a game day entails supplying 10 or more volunteers to support our athletes on the field for all games on a specific game day. (Please note we ask that volunteers be 12 years or older.) If your organization is interested in sponsoring a game day (or two), please register your primary contact, and our team will be in touch with you shortly to get your organization on the schedule. Plan to volunteer from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. We promise it's the best way to spend a Saturday!

Medical Staff:

We are seeking qualified medical professionals to be on-site during game days to provide general medical support for all athletes. The role includes addressing basic first aid needs, managing seizures, handling heat-related conditions, and being prepared to administer CPR if necessary. If you are comfortable with these responsibilities, please register, and a staff member will reach out to confirm your experience and provide further details about your role and the athletes you’ll be supporting. Your expertise is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our participants.

Jugadores:

La Miracle League North Bay es una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a brindar a los atletas con necesidades especiales la oportunidad de jugar béisbol. Compañeros (Buddies):

Nuestro sistema de compañeros empareja a cada jugador con un voluntario que lo ayuda durante todo el juego. El compañero está allí para proteger al jugador de las pelotas, ayudarlo a batear y correr las bases (si es necesario) y ser un amigo dentro y fuera del campo. Los compañeros son responsables de su jugador individual desde el momento de la presentación hasta que el jugador regresa al cuidado de su padre/madre o tutor. Esto significa que, sin importar a dónde vaya su jugador, el compañero debe acompañarlo. Los compañeros deben ser enérgicos, comprometidos y entusiastas para cada juego. No necesitan tener conocimientos o habilidades relacionadas con el béisbol. Pedimos que todos los compañeros tengan al menos 12 años de edad y que estén disponibles para los tres juegos cada sábado, de 9:00 am a 1:00 pm.

Patrocinadores de Días de Juego:

Durante nuestra temporada, buscamos entre 1 y 2 organizaciones para patrocinar cada día de juego. Patrocinar un día de juego significa proporcionar 10 o más voluntarios para apoyar a nuestros atletas en el campo durante todos los juegos de ese día. (Tenga en cuenta que pedimos que los voluntarios tengan al menos 12 años de edad). Si tu organización está interesada en patrocinar uno o más días de juego, por favor registra a tu contacto principal y nuestro equipo se comunicará contigo pronto para incluir a tu organización en el calendario. Medical Staff:
