Miracle League March Magic

Players:

Get ready for our 4th annual Miracle League March Magic Basketball event on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 – 11:30am at Petaluma High School! We’re inviting our athletes with special needs to enjoy a morning of basketball fun with their buddies. Players will have the chance to learn and practice basketball skills through a variety of drills, and then show off what they’ve learned in a friendly scrimmage at the end of the session!

No experience is necessary – we welcome all skill levels and enthusiasm. While we love seeing athletes play the game, participate in drills, and challenge themselves, we also celebrate connection and community. Socializing, making friends, and having fun is just as important!

**We ask that all players be at least 5 years old to participate. 

PLAYERS WHO REGISTER AFTER FEBRUARY 24TH ARE NOT GUARANTEED A BASKETBALL SHIRT 

Buddies:

Our Buddy system pairs each special needs athlete with a volunteer helper who stays with them for the entire event. Buddies help in a variety of ways – from assisting with basketball skills and navigating the court, to protecting their player from stray balls and most importantly, being a friend throughout the day.

Buddies are responsible for their athlete from the time they meet until they’re safely back with their parent or guardian – wherever their athlete goes, the buddy goes! No basketball experience is required, but we ask that buddies be energetic, committed, and enthusiastic.

Buddies must be at least 12 years old and available from 10:00am – 12:00pm. If you’ve volunteered with us before, please wear your MLNB buddy shirt! 

Fans:

Bring your cheers and join us in the stands to support our athletes! Every high-five, shout, and cheer makes a difference and helps our athletes feel celebrated.

¡Prepárense para nuestro 4º evento anual Miracle League March Magic de Baloncesto el sábado 14 de marzo de 10:00 a 11:30 a.m. en la Escuela Secundaria de Petaluma! Invitamos a nuestros atletas con necesidades especiales a disfrutar de una mañana llena de diversión jugando baloncesto junto a sus buddies. Los jugadores tendrán la oportunidad de aprender y practicar habilidades de baloncesto a través de una variedad de ejercicios, y luego demostrar lo aprendido en un partido amistoso al final de la sesión.

No se necesita experiencia – damos la bienvenida a todos los niveles de habilidad y entusiasmo. Aunque nos encanta ver a los atletas jugar, participar en ejercicios y retarse a sí mismos, también celebramos la conexión y la comunidad. ¡Socializar, hacer amigos y divertirse es igual de importante!

Pedimos que todos los jugadores tengan al menos 5 años de edad para participar.

Buddies (Voluntarios):

Nuestro sistema de Buddies asigna a cada atleta con necesidades especiales un voluntario que permanece con él o ella durante todo el evento. Los buddies ayudan de muchas maneras: desde apoyar con las habilidades de baloncesto y moverse por la cancha, hasta proteger a su atleta de balones sueltos y, lo más importante, ser un amigo durante todo el día.

Los buddies son responsables de su atleta desde el momento en que se conocen hasta que regresa de manera segura con su padre, madre o tutor. ¡Donde vaya el atleta, va el buddy! No se requiere experiencia en baloncesto, pero pedimos que los buddies sean enérgicos, comprometidos y entusiastas.

Los buddies deben tener al menos 12 años y estar disponibles de 10:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. Si ya has sido voluntario con nosotros, ¡por favor usa tu camiseta de buddy de MLNB!

¡Trae tus porras y únete a nosotros en las gradas para apoyar a nuestros atletas! Cada choque de manos, grito y aplauso hace la diferencia y ayuda a que nuestros atletas se sientan celebrados.
